Truth be told I kind of like this fog in ST. It is somewhat close to real life, in river valleys, in the morning we can see that kind of hazing. But it should be one of the many effects, not the only one we see over and over again. How awesome would be to have blur in the air in really hot, sunny day?

Whilst I agree that a lot of these ideas are good and some of them we had already spoke about internally (or maybe even planned) - but its really getting to a point where certain things should be looked at in the development of ST2 (which is in early planning stages).

In all DLC where "dlc_rock" is used, the texture size is reduced by five times relative to the original.
It looks very blurry close up. Need to return full size textures to all DLC, where necessary.

Need to replace Kraz-255 Engine Sounds in recent versions has nothing to do with real. The most realistic sound in version 16.01.15

I tried to transfer this sound to the newest version, but I did not succeed.

Perhaps someone will tell me how to do this.

Place your new sound in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Spintires\Media\sounds\engine

I agree and have mentioned before the current C-255 sound isn't authentic.  I've made my own version which is a combination of the new & old sound.

I know where it is, but just copying the sound files does not give the desired result.

Which sound(s) are you trying to copy?  In my case I've modified only kraz_idle, so copying it over was all I needed to do.  If you want to copy over the entire sound package from the old version, you'll need to modify the xml as well accordingly.

I want to copy over the entire sound package,  but I don’t know how to change xml and which xml. KrAZ or _templates.

And even with old files, the volume of sounds is much quieter.

I'd assume it's mostly in the truck xml.  And yes the old sounds are mono, new ones are stereo.  You may have to compensate by increasing their volume (you can use a free application like Audacity).  I'm mostly fine with the new C-255 sounds.  It was mostly the idle that was bugging me, so I just made my own sound file and adjusted the volume on it.  @Zane (Oovee)I sent you this file a long time ago.  I'm not sure if you liked it or still have it, but I think it was an improvement.
