DeltΔV 134
I know this is just how terrain works in Spintires, and it usually looks great, but the spiky terrain is really noticeable in some places, and it can visibly make trucks bounce, too. I'm not against bumpy roads, but I do think that they should not be made up of long, straight lines and prominent points. Also, is it too unreasonable that the truck should be able to easily drive up the road in this picture, without having to crawl with diff lock? (The camera is not tilted). The wheels are still a bit too slippery on roads, I think. And I stand by my opinion that offroad tires still have good grip on roads, because they deform and have an even larger contact patch than normal tires, sometimes. Unster 367
I don't really see an issue here, though I'm also against spiky terrain but what's shown in your screenshot isn't bad IMO. I've seen much worse in some modded maps. As to grip, I'd say that kind of slope would be at the limits of traction IRL. It's the mud traction that needs tweaking. The bumps, however, also make gripping the road almost significantly harder. Removing these may achieve a more realistic traction amount and smoother feel.
DeltΔV 134
Here's another example. The slope's not too steep, but the lines still slope in the opposite direction in places. I wouldn't mind if this was just a display thing, and the terrain was just displaying strangely but was simulated properly, but you can see the truck bouncing as you drive over it. As @Unster said, this isn't a major issue but it is irritating nonetheless.

There was a mod map I was playing, called Russian Roads. It started out pretty good, but then I came across such an ugly, spiky road that I decided to quit and remove that map from my collection. I was like I ain't playing that abomination. Edited November 28, 2019 by Unster
